楼主对定语从句中关系代词和关系副词的用法区别掌握不够.
关系代词在定语从句中充当的是主语/宾语/表语等名词性成分,而关系副词在定语从句中充当的是状语.
你把先行词the house放入定语从句中,很明显它直接充当介词in的宾语,所以当然用关系代词that啦.
即：(that) he was born in
= he was born in (that)
= he was born in (the house)
如果此题中后面的定语从句没有in,则he was born缺少地点状语,此时答案才会选B where.
C指人,排除；
D whose = the house's,在定语从句中充当定语,排除.
选B，因为后面有in，in后面是接地点的。
前面有个the，特指，后面接that,而不接where或which。
