But is there anything we common people carl do about it?Yes,there is much that we can do.We can throw rubbish not on the ground,but in garbage cans; we can help to publicize the importance of environment preservation; we can write letters to our friends on ordinary paper instead of sending cards,because 4,000 cards amount to one tree,and trees are important to better our environment.Moreover,we can encourage the government to punish the.act of pollution.
When the sky is blue again,the rivers become clean,and the grass is always green,we will live a healthier and happier life.
Save Tomorrow - Clean Up Our Climate
This year we are encouraging Members to help "Clean Up Our Climate" and to continue their efforts to take action at a local level to address this very global issue.The 2008 tag line is "Start Today...Save Tomorrow".Although climate change can seem like a complex issue there are a wide variety of simple actions that individuals and communities can take to make a difference.Energy conservation,education programs,planting trees,walk to work days and waste production projects are just a few of the possible options that Members can choose from.
Runs campaigns and projects to collect and remove rubbish from the local environments,promote recycling and educate on climate change issues.
World Environment Day,celebrated each year on 5 June is one of the principal vehicles through which the United Nations Environment Programme stimulates worldwide awareness of the environment and focuses political attention and action.
