先启动液下泵，延时后启动风机，含氯的混合气体通过防腐风机抽送至吸收塔，泄露的氯气在吸收塔能自下而上与从上向下喷射的吸收液充分接触，绝大部分氯气别吸收，身下的极少氯气又回到氯库内，从而构成一个封闭的闭环系统。
反应后的液体又回流到再生箱，经过特殊工艺处理再生后，又成为吸收液，如此不断循环。当检测到泄露的氯气不超标时，风机自动停止工作，延时后液下泵停止工作。
